The Climate Trust features a case-study about their contract with Shorepower Technologies to purchase offsets from 
Truck Stop Electrification projects. The Climate Trust is an Oregon organization whose mission is to promote climate change solutions by providing high-quality carbon offset projects and advancing sound offset policy.
With The Climate Trust’s funding, Shorepower Technologies was able to overcome financial barriers that exist implementing a new technology. Also, the use of carbon offset funding helps keep the cost to truckers down, helping to overcome industry barriers to a new technology.
