Sustainable Industries Blog – June 2009

Portland-based blog Sustainable Industries covered the keynote speech of Chris Bakken, chief strategy officer of SynkroMotive, partner of Shorepower, at the Young Professionals of Portland “Breakfast of Champions” event at the University of Oregon building in Portland.

At the event, Mr. Bakken spoke about the state of the electric vehicle industry and the technology that will play a key role in moving the industry forward, including Level 3 charging – high performance charging that “would fully charge a PHEV in two-five minutes, and a BEV in 18-24 minutes…offering a refueling experience similar to what consumers are used to today,” said Bakken.

Sustainable Industries offers a working definition of sustainable industries in the region and a forum for business leaders and economic trends to challenge and shape that definition.
