Oregon Providing Up to 35% Tax Credit for Electric Vehicle Charging

If you are a business owner in Oregon and considering installing an electric vehicle charging station, take note: The Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) has announced a Transportation Project Opportunity for: Alternative Fuel Vehicle Infrastructure Opportunity Announcement No. 16‐012

Qualified projects may be eligible for a tax credit that may not exceed 35 percent of certified project costs.  For this Opportunity Announcement there is approximately $8,000,000 in tax credits available for infrastructure projects allocated on a first come, first served basis from March 2, 2016 through September 30, 2016. The Opportunity Announcement may end sooner if funds are exhausted before the close date.

This Opportunity Announcement applies to infrastructure projects that include a facility for mixing, storing, compressing, or dispensing fuels for alternative fuel vehicles, and any other necessary and reasonable equipment. An eligible applicant must meet the requirements of statutes, rule, and this Opportunity Announcement.
